We’re excited for you to join us at these summer events in Castle Rock!

We love Castle Rock, and we’re committed to not only providing exceptional medical care for pets but also being an active and involved member of our community. That’s why we’re excited to share that we’ll be sponsoring several summer events in Castle Rock and Douglas County, and we encourage everyone to look for us there!

Get a jump on pool season at the Meadows Pool Bash on June 2

First up is the Meadows Pool Bash on June 2, 2023 from 10 AM to 7 PM at the Grange Pool. This will be a fun opportunity for families to kick off a busy few months of summer events in Castle Rock! (Humans only this time around, dogs will be welcome at Doggy Dive at the end of the summer season.) There will be a DJ, free ice cream sandwiches, and games and activities for kids. The event is free for Meadows residents with a pool pass. We’ll be at the event with giveaways, so be sure to stop by and say hello. For more information check the Meadows Neighborhood Community events website  and Facebook page.

Families can participate in a parade around the park with decorated bicycles, wagons, or strollers. Afterward, this family-friendly event continues with music, concessions, inflatable rides, trackless trains, and activities for the whole family. The parade starts at 11:15 AM. The event is free for Meadows Neighborhood Community residents ($5 for non-residents). For more information check the Meadows Neighborhood Community events website and Facebook page.

Note that the traditional Castle Rock fireworks show for Castle Rockin’ the 4th has been replaced this year by a drone show due to significant fire danger. That said, there will likely still be noise around town from personal fireworks. To prepare, be sure to read our blog on tips for how to handle fireworks with an anxious pet.
