As a crispness begins to fill the morning and evening air and the mountain aspens start to turn, Veterinary Specialists of the Rockies is ramping up for a series of fall events in Castle Rock! We believe in not only caring for our beloved animal companions within the confines of our hospital but also extending our paws and hearts to the Castle Rock community we hold dear. From a giant pumpkin patch to the lighting of a giant star, look for us at these seasonal family favorites!
Grab some dinner and join the fun at Food Truck Frenzy.
Catch up with neighbors at this free Meadows Neighborhood event with live music from Eric Golden and, of course, lots of food truck options for your dining pleasure! Admission into the event is free. We’re back as a sponsor for this Castle Rock fall favorite!
Bring the whole family to celebrate the change of seasons at this Meadow’s neighborhood fall tradition on Saturday, October 14 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Complete with music, inflatables, hayrides, games, crafts, trick-or-treating, concessions, a costume parade (which officially kicks off the event at 1:15), and a giant pumpkin patch (of course!), it’s one of the area’s best fall festivals. Plus, be sure to show off your costumes at the Veterinary Specialists of the Rockies sponsor tent for giveaways, treats for people and pets, and an extra helping of Halloween cheer.
Entry into the event is free for all. Rides are free for Meadows residents and $5 for non-residents. Residents, remember your key fob to get one FREE pumpkin per household. We’ll help to light the night as a sponsor of Castle Rock Starlighting.
The holiday season is kicked off in earnest with this annual Castle Rock favorite! This year, Starlighting will be held on Saturday, November 18th, from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM in downtown Castle Rock. Bring the whole family for a full afternoon of live music from Biff Gore, food and beverage vendors, shopping in the downtown stores, and entertainment on almost every street corner. Ongoing festivities throughout the day include strolling carolers, ice skating, a kids zone with fun activities, and sponsor booths offering holiday goodies. Santa Claus will even be on site from 2:00 PM to 4:15 PM.
The event will culminate with the starlighting ceremony at 5:00 PM on the main stage, emceed by 9news anchor Corey Rose. The lighting of The Star will occur at approximately 5:30 PM, followed by fireworks.

We are sponsoring one of the most important 2023 holiday events near Castle Rock. The Douglas County Living Toys for Tot event will be held on December 8th at Ceilo in Castle Pines. For questions or to reserve seats, you can call 303-688-9412. You can also support this worthwhile charity by dropping off new, unwrapped toys at our Castle Rock hospital from now till December 7th.
Check the Toys for Tots website to learn more about this national organization which has benefited kids for 75 years. We are helping Douglas County Living collect 60,000 toys this year. Share with families in need and bring a smile to a local child this Christmas!

Santa and Mrs. Claus invite you to attend the annual Holiday in the Meadows event on Saturday, December 2nd from 10:00 to 3:00 PM. This community event will feature Santa and Mrs. Claus along with a photographer to take family pictures, holiday characters, carolers, crafts, trolley rides, yummy holiday treats, coffee, hot chocolate, and more!
Holiday in The Meadows is one of the most popular events in the neighborhood, and parking can be a bit tight at The Grange. If you can’t find a spot at The Grange, don’t let that ruin your holiday spirit. There’s plenty of parking at Paintbrush Park, where you can hitch a free ride to The Grange on the town trolley! The trolley will be running continuously throughout the event until 1 pm.
